On the 29th October Cherhill Shetlands joined fellow SPGN team mates at Wincanton Racecourse for the Bob Champion Cancer Trust Charity Raceday. The day is comprised of a full race card, including a Shetland Race, a silent Auction and lots of other fun things to get involved with! To help raise extra funds and add to the Raceday ambience, all of the Shetland ponies are sponsored and renamed. Our own Carmilo Temptation was very privilege to be 'Little Aldaniti' for the day with her rider, Fleur, wearing the very famous white and blue colours as carried by Aldaniti to Grand National victory ridden by Bob Champion himself!
Whilst the very honour of wearing the famous silks was enough for us, Temptation & Fleur ran an absolute blinder of a race to win! We cannot thank the Bob Champion Cancer Trust & SPGN enough for the opportunity to take part in the Wincanton Charity Race day, our Temptation being Little Aldaniti for the day is already a very cherished memory.
We can't go without mentioning our other runner, Oldeworlde Daniel who was the youngest pony in the race and didn't let a slight quirk at the start dampen his chances! Well done William for the expert confidence riding Daniel.
